Scripture

Matthew 7:7 (KJV)

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Joshua 1:3 (KJV)

“Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.”

Joshua 6:2 (KJV)

“And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.”

Ponder This

Discovery opens our eyes. Seeking sharpens our discernment. Asking aligns our hearts. But, Jesus did not stop there. He said knock.

Knocking is action. Knocking is movement. Knocking is the decision to step toward what has already been revealed. Discovery may show us where the door is, but execution is what brings us through it. Yet even after the door opens, another choice remains.

Entering is not the same as entering fully.

Many step into what Our Father has revealed just far enough to say they entered, but not far enough to take possession. They stand in the doorway of opportunity - aware, invited, and authorized, yet hesitant to advance. They receive access but stop short of occupation.

Joshua stood before Jericho with a word already spoken by Our Father: “I have given into thine hand Jericho.” The victory was declared before a single wall fell. But possession required obedience. It required movement. It required following divine instruction all the way through.

Our Father does not open doors for us to linger at the threshold. He opens doors so we can enter fully, walk the land, and take responsibility for what He has already given.

Discovery reveals the door. Execution moves us inside. Yet, possession requires faith-filled advancement.

Partial entry leaves room for retreat. Full entry establishes authority.

Today’s invitation is not just to ask, seek, or knock. It is to enter fully - to advance, to occupy, and to take territory with confidence in what The Kingdom of Heaven has already declared.

Prayer

Our Father, thank You for the doors You have revealed and opened before me. Forgive me for moments when I stood in the doorway but did not advance. Give me courage to enter fully, not just to access, but to possess. Strengthen my obedience. I choose to trust that You are ordering my steps, and I align my heart with Your instruction. I choose to move forward, take territory, and walk confidently in what You have already given. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
