Papa Is At Work!

Scripture

Psalm 138:8 (KJV)

“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”

1 Peter 5:10–11 (KJV)

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Ponder This

How often do we find ourselves trying to help Our Father? Sometimes we find ourselves trying to strategize, manipulate circumstances, rush the process, or carry burdens He never asked us to carry. We sometimes convince ourselves that if we do a little more, push a little harder, everything will work out.

But that is not His design.

Our Father never intended for us to perform what only He can perform. His Word says He will perfect that which concerns us. He makes us perfect, establishes us, strengthens us, and settles us. He is doing just that!

Our responsibility is not to control the outcome. Our responsibility is to trust the One who controls it.

That is why all the fruit of His Spirit is necessary, especially the ones we don't like to embrace at first, such as patience, self-control, and longsuffering. Yet, we discover that they are essential to walking with Christ. These fruits of the Spirit remind us that we do not have to force doors open, defend ourselves, or rush what Our Father is developing. While we are waiting, Papa is at work, performing His purposes, preparing us, and arranging what we could never accomplish on our own.

He gave promises. He will bring them to pass. He started the work. He will finish it. Be encouraged to take your hands off what belongs in His hands.

Papa is at work.

What have I been trying to do that I need to entrust to Our Father?

Prayer

Our Father, thank You for helping me to trust Your timing and not my own. I surrender every burden into Your hands, knowing You will do what only You can do. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
