The Final Word
Scripture
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
— John 10:27 (KJV)
Ponder This
Every day, we hear many voices. Fear has a voice. Doubt has a voice. Hate has a voice. Division has a voice. Laziness has a voice. Greed has a voice. Violence has a voice. Unforgiveness has a voice. Pride has a voice. Shame has a voice. Temptation has a voice. Discouragement has a voice. Anxiety has a voice. Bitterness has a voice. Deception has a voice. And there are many other voices competing for our attention.
The question is not whether these voices exist. The question is: Whose voice will we obey?
Only one voice leads to life. Our Father has already spoken. His Word is truth, His promises are sure, and His voice always has the final word.
Jesus never promised a life without competing voices or trouble. He promised that in Him we would have peace. As we follow the voice of Holy Spirit, He leads us through every trial, out of darkness and confusion, and upward into the victory Christ has already won.
Prayer
Our Father, thank You for speaking truth into my life. Thank You for helping me recognize Your voice above every competing voice. I come out of agreement with every distraction. Strengthen me to trust and obey Your Word. Holy Spirit, thank You for leading me through every trial, out of darkness, confusion, and sorrow... upward into the victory, peace, and purpose You have prepared for me. I choose to follow Your voice because Your voice always has the final word. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
