Freely Receive. Faithfully Pour.

Ponder This

Our Father never intended His work in us to end with us. Everything He pours into our lives carries a Kingdom purpose. The comfort He gives is meant to comfort another. The wisdom He imparts is meant to be shared. The mercy we receive is meant to be extended. The hope He restores is meant to encourage the weary. As disciples, we are called to make disciples.

Many believers faithfully receive from the Lord but stop there. Yet the Kingdom pattern is that what He entrusts to us continues through us. Paul instructed Timothy to commit what he had received to faithful people who would teach others also. Discipleship is not only receiving from Christ; it is faithfully passing on what He has entrusted to us.

What has Our Father been pouring into you? Don’t keep it to yourself. Someone is waiting for the hope, truth, wisdom, encouragement, prayer, or testimony He has placed within you. As we faithfully pour into others through teaching, serving, encouraging, and sharing the gospel, we participate in His Kingdom work and become faithful stewards of His grace.

Freely receive. Faithfully pour.

Prayer

Our Father, thank You for Your mercy, comfort, wisdom, and truth. Thank You for everything You have poured into me. Thank You for helping me to be a faithful steward of every gift, lesson, and revelation You have entrusted to me. Give me the courage to share what I have freely received so that others may be strengthened, encouraged, and drawn closer to You. I choose to be a disciple who faithfully makes disciples. I surrender my life to bring You glory as I freely receive and faithfully pour. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
