It Is A Good Thing

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.”

Ponder This

Psalm 92 reminds us that worship is a good thing. Worship is not based on our circumstances; it is based on the unchanging character of Our Father. Before we ask Him for anything, let us practice thanking Him. Before we face the day, it is good that we remember His lovingkindness. Before we close our eyes at night, it is a good thing to reflect on His faithfulness.

It is a good thing to thank Him both morning and night. Thanksgiving is not an occasional event; it is a lifestyle. Every sunrise is another opportunity to declare His mercy, and every sunset is another testimony that He has been lovingly faithful.

When our hearts remain thankful, our perspective changes. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to He Who has sustained us. Worship reminds us that Our Father has never failed us, and He never will.

Be encouraged to let praise become your first response. Whether you are celebrating a victory or walking through a valley, it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord.

Prayer

Our Father, thank You for Your lovingkindness that greets me every morning and Your faithfulness that carries me through every day and night. Thank You for teaching me to practice gratitude regardless of my circumstances. I desire and choose for my praise to never depend on how I feel but on who You are. I submit my life to become a continual song of thanksgiving that brings glory to Your holy name. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
