The Bright and Morning Star
Scripture
“I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
— Revelation 22:16 (KJV)
“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
— Hebrews 7:25 (KJV)
Ponder This
There are seasons when we find ourselves between what was and what will be. The old season has ended, but the new season has not fully appeared. It can feel like standing between night and morning.
Yet this is not a place for fear. It is a place for faith.
Jesus calls Himself the Bright and Morning Star. The morning star appears before the sunrise, announcing that a new day is on the way. In the same way, Jesus gives us hope, direction, and peace before we see the fullness of what Our Father is doing.
As we walk through seasons of transition, we are not left to figure things out on our own. Jesus is our constant Advocate. He continually intercedes for us and faithfully represents us before Our Father.
Even when we cannot see what lies ahead, He sees the end from the beginning and is working on our behalf.
The same Jesus who lights our path is also praying for us. Therefore, we can move forward with confidence, knowing that Holy Spirit guides us and Jesus is also advocating for us.
Prayer
Our Father, thank You for sending Jesus, the Bright and Morning Star. When we find ourselves in seasons of transition, thank You for helping us to trust Your leading. Thank You that Jesus continually intercedes for us and Holy Spirit guides our steps. Strengthen our faith to follow You with confidence, knowing that You are faithful to complete every good work You have begun in us. We choose to stay focused to walk by faith and under direction of Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
