Scripture
“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
— 2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV)
Ponder This
Discipleship is multiplication, not maintenance. Paul’s charge to Timothy was clear, don’t just receive the Word, reproduce it. Everything Our Father has taught you, revealed to you, and walked you through was never meant to stop with you.
When you disciple others, you’re continuing a divine chain reaction that began with Jesus Himself. He poured into twelve, who poured into others, and the gospel spread across generations. The same pattern still works today. Our Father's kingdom grows when faithful believers commit to teaching others how to follow Him.
Discipleship isn’t about perfection; it’s about participation. You don’t need a title, a pulpit, or a crowd. You just need a willing heart. Sometimes it’s a quiet conversation, a prayer over coffee, or a moment of encouragement to remind someone they’re not alone. Every seed you plant in someone else’s life has eternal impact.
Ask yourself today, who can I pour into? Who can I teach, train, or encourage to walk closer with Our Father? When you invest in others, you honor the One who invested everything in you.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for entrusting me with Your Word and Your wisdom. Show me how to pass it on with love, patience, and truth. Help me recognize those who are ready to grow and give me the grace to walk beside them. I choose to obey Your Word in teaching others to walk in Your ways as disciples who make more disciples for Your glory. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Reflection
1. Who has Our Father used to disciple and pour into your life?
2. Who can you now pour into with what you’ve learned?
3. What steps can you take to model faithfulness and spiritual growth to others?
