Amazing Morning Glory!
Scripture
“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:22–23
Ponder This
Morning glory is a flower that opens at first light, created to respond to the sun. So are you. Each new day is Our Father's fresh invitation to open wide to His presence, receive His mercy, and reflect His glory. Yesterday’s weight doesn’t get to write today’s story; Heaven’s compassion already beat the sunrise to your doorstep!
When you wake, you’re not starting from empty. You’re starting from new mercies. Our Father's lovingkindness meets you before the emails, before the needs, before the news. As you turn your face toward Him, His light steadies your thoughts, softens your heart, and gives you courage to step into what He’s called you to do. Let your soul “Arise, shine.” Not by striving, but by receiving, and then reflecting, the glory He places within you.
Simple Morning Activation
1. Look Up: Talk to Our Father... “Good morning, Father. I turn my face to Your light.” (Psalm 5:3)
2. Breathe & Receive: Inhale “new mercies,” exhale yesterday’s heaviness. Bonus: You can start exhaling the heaviness in the moments that try to overtake you. Don't wait!
3. Embrace His Word: Read one “morning” verse (Ps 143:8; Ps 90:14; Mark 1:35). Ask, “Lord, what are You highlighting for today?”
4. Bless & Go: Speak a blessing over your home, work, and community (Numbers 6:24–26).
Declaration
Today, I arise to Our Father's amazing morning glory. His mercies clothe me, His light guides me, and His peace guards me. I will open like the morning glory and reflect His goodness everywhere I go.
Prayer
Father, thank You for new mercies at daybreak. Let Your glory rise upon me to clarify my mind, steady my emotions, and align my steps with Your will. I ask You to shine through my words and actions so others sense Your kindness and hope. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
