Build Knowledge

Scripture: Acts 18:24–26 (KJV)

“And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.”

Ponder This

Apollos knew the Scriptures and taught diligently, yet he still needed fuller understanding. Priscilla and Aquila took him aside and taught him more.

We can know much and still have more to learn. Let us remain teachable, study Our Father’s Word, and practice what we learn so we can better help others.

Reflection

Am I willing to receive instruction, even when I think I already know?

Prayer

Our Father, help me receive instruction with humility. Deepen my understanding so I can better help others. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
