Courage Comes From Him

Scripture

"Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Ponder This

World Changers,

Courage is not pretending fear does not exist, it is choosing to move in obedience despite fear because we trust who is with us. The Bible teaches that courage comes from confidence in the presence, power, and promises of Our Father.

We get courage when we remember that He is with us and in us. Joshua’s courage was tied to Our Father’s presence. Choose to trust what Our Father has said. Faith in His Word strengthens the heart when circumstances try to shake us.

Let's choose to look beyond ourselves. Courage grows when we stop measuring the problem against our ability and start measuring it against Our Father’s power. Act with obedience. Courage is built in motion. Many times strength comes as we choose to step forward in obedience - not before.

Fear says:

“What if I fail?”

Courage says:

“Our Father is with me, so I will obey anyway.”

True courage is not self-confidence, it is confidence in Our Father.

Walk It Out

Ask yourself today:

Where have I been waiting to “feel” courageous before obeying?

Then take one step of obedience anyway.

Prayer

Our Father, thank You that we never face life alone. Strengthen our hearts where fear has tried to weaken us. Thank You for teaching us to trust Your presence more than we trust our feelings. Fill us with boldness, confidence, and holy courage to obey You fully. We choose to move forward in faith, knowing You are with us wherever we go and in all that we do. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
