How Do I Know If I Need Deliverance?

How Do I Know If I Need Deliverance?

Scripture

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

— Galatians 5:1 (KJV)

Ponder This

World Changers,

One of the clearest signs that something deeper may be at work is this:

We sincerely desire freedom…

but repeatedly find that we are pulled back into bondage.

Not occasional temptation. Not simple weakness. Not ordinary struggle. But patterns that seem to override our intentions - where we pray, repent, cry, and mean it…

yet still feel dragged back into cycles we cannot seem to master.

Freedom in Christ does not mean we never face temptation, but when a person remains consistently entangled in what they desperately want to escape, it is wise to ask deeper questions.

Sometimes the issue is:

  • A wound that has never healed

  • A mindset that has never been renewed

  • A habit that has never been disciplined

And sometimes… there is spiritual bondage that must be broken and destroyed.

Many believers stay bound because they keep accepting and walking out the pattern calling bondage

“just my personality,”

“just how I am,”

“just my struggle,”

or

“something I’ll always deal with.”

But Jesus did not die merely to help us cope with chains. He died and defeated them, and we must exercise our faith to embrace His victory/our inheritance and rights to defeat them.

If your life reflects repeated bondage in an area where Christ promised liberty, do not ignore the possibility that freedom may require more than willpower.

Freedom requires confrontation. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you in scripture and how to exercise your authority in Christ Jesus. He will guide you!

Prayer

Our Father, reveal every area where I have mistaken bondage as normal. Show me what needs healing, what needs renewing, and what needs to be broken and destroyed. I refuse to settle for bondage when Jesus died to free me. Thank You for leading me into complete liberty. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
