Develop Patience That Wins Souls

Develop Patience That Wins Souls

Scripture

“The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.”

— 2 Timothy 2:24–25 (KJV)

Ponder This

Patience is not passivity, it is power under restraint. Souls are not won by pressure, arguments, or force, but by gentle endurance guided by truth and love. The servant who strives may win an argument, but the servant who is patient wins hearts.

Notice the order in this passage:

• Gentle

• Able to teach

• Patient

• Meek in instruction

Why? Because repentance is Our Father’s work, not ours. Our role is to stay positioned so His work can flow through us without obstruction.

Patience keeps the door open long enough for truth to do its quiet work.

Why Patience Wins Souls

• It disarms defensiveness

• It creates safety for conviction

• It honors timing - Our Father’s and theirs

• It reflects Christ, who endured misunderstanding without retaliation

When we rush people, we often interrupt what Our Father is cultivating. When we remain patient, we become witnesses to transformation instead of obstacles to it.

A Shift in Perspective

Patience is not waiting on people, it is walking with them until Our Father completes what He started.

“And the Lord’s servant must not strive…”

Striving closes ears. Patience opens hearts.

Prayer

Our Father, thank You for teaching me patience that reflects Your heart. Remove striving from my spirit and replace it with gentleness and wisdom. Thank You for helping me to trust Your timing in the lives of others. Let my words, tone, and posture create space for truth to take root. Make me a vessel that draws souls, not by force, but by love. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Declaration

I develop patience that wins souls. I do not strive. I steward truth with love. Our Father works through my gentleness. He brings repentance and revelation in His perfect time.
