Highlighted Scripture:
Obadiah 1:21 (KJV): “And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s."
Reflection:
Throughout the Bible, God has consistently raised up deliverers to rescue His people in times of trouble. From Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt to Esther saving her people from destruction, God empowers His chosen ones to rise up and bring deliverance.
When the people of God cry out in times of distress, He hears their prayers and sends deliverers. These are individuals He anoints to break chains, set captives free, and bring His light into the darkest situations. Just as He did in ancient times, God is still raising up deliverers today—those who are willing to stand in the gap, speak His truth, and bring freedom to those who are bound.
You may be one of those whom God is preparing to deliver others. Whether it’s in your family, community, or church, God may be calling you to step into a role where you can make a difference. He equips those He calls, giving them the strength, courage, and wisdom needed to fulfill their purpose.
More Scripture to Ponder:
• Isaiah 61:1 (KJV): “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound."
• Judges 3:9 (KJV): “And when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them."
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God who raises deliverers in times of need. I ask that You anoint me to be a vessel of Your deliverance, to bring freedom to those in bondage, and to be a light in dark places. Give me the courage and wisdom to stand in the gap and fulfill the purpose You have placed on my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
Action Steps:
1. Seek God’s Guidance: Spend time in prayer, asking God if He is calling you to be a deliverer in a particular area of your life.
2. Be Willing to Step Out: Don’t be afraid to act when God places a burden on your heart. Remember, He equips those He calls.
3. Stand on God’s Promises: Meditate on scriptures that affirm God’s power to deliver and restore. Trust that He will work through you.
