Ordained
Scripture
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
— John 15:16 (NKJV)
Ponder This
Before you ever took your first breath, Our Father wrote your name into His divine story. To be ordained is to be set apart for His specific purposes, equipped and positioned to accomplish His will on earth.
Jesus reminds His disciples that they didn’t choose Him first, He chose them. He hand-selected, prepared, and appointed them to produce lasting fruit. That same truth applies to you. The assignments you’re carrying, the burdens you’re shouldering, and the spaces where you show up faithfully are not accidental. Heaven has already stamped “Approved” over your life.
Being ordained doesn’t always look glamorous. Sometimes it means showing up when others quit, praying when no one sees, or standing firm when the winds of doubt blow. But the beauty of divine ordination is this: you are not working from your own authority. You are carrying out Heaven’s business under Heaven’s backing. Our Father empowers whom He ordains.
Application
• Reflect on areas where Our Father has positioned you “for such a time as this.”
• Ask: Am I walking confidently in what He has already ordained, or am I hesitating because I feel unqualified?
• Remember: Our Father doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies those He calls.
Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing and ordaining me before I even knew who I was. Help me to walk boldly in the assignments You’ve placed before me. Remind me daily that Your authority covers me. Let the fruit of my life bring You glory and impact lives for generations to come. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Declaration
I am chosen, appointed, and ordained by Our Father in Heaven. I walk in divine authority and bear lasting fruit.
