Put the Work In

Put the Work In

Scripture

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)

“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.”

— Proverbs 14:23 (KJV)

Ponder This

Putting the work in is not about striving, it’s about showing up with consistency. Scripture reminds us that steady labor is never wasted. What feels slow, unseen, or repetitive is still producing. Talk alone does not move things forward; action does.

Many people desire results but resist the routine that produces them. Yet Our Father honors faithfulness. To abound in the work of the Lord means to stay planted, committed, and engaged, trusting that what you invest will yield fruit in due time.

Work done with obedience and purpose is never empty. It carries weight, meaning, and return. Steadfastness protects momentum. Labor gives faith something to work through, while consistency produces profit - not just talk.

Faith moves best when it’s paired with follow-through.

Prayer

Our Father, strengthen me to remain steadfast and unmovable. Help me to value consistency over comfort and faithfulness over feelings. Thank You for teaching me to put the work in with wisdom, patience, and trust, knowing my labor in You is never in vain. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Declaration

I put the work in with purpose and endurance. I remain steadfast, unmovable, and consistent. My labor is not in vain, and in due time, it will produce fruit.
