Rock Steady

Scripture

“He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.”

Psalm 62:2 (KJV)

Ponder This

Stability is not the absence of pressure, it is the presence of our Rock, The Rock of Ages. When circumstances shift, voices rise, and uncertainty presses in, those who are anchored in Our Father do not become frantic. We remain rock steady. Not because life is calm, but because our footing is secure.

David did not say the storm disappeared. He said he would not be moved.

Rock steady living means:

• our reactions are restrained

• our emotions are submitted

• our decisions are anchored in alignment with scripture

Waves may crash, but they do not carry us away when our trust is set on the Rock of Ages. Feelings may fluctuate, but our foundation does not.

Our Rock does not change His position to match the storm. The storm must yield to the Rock of Ages. When you stay anchored in Him, pressure reveals stability instead of panic, faith instead of fear, and trust instead of striving.

Prayer

Our Father, You are our Rock and our salvation. When our surroundings feel unstable, establish us in You. Thank You for keeping our hearts anchored, our minds settled, and our steps sure. We choose trust over disobedience, resistance, and turbulence, as well as faith over fear. We desire and choose to stand rock steady in You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
