Strength is Growth
Scripture
"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
—Isaiah 40:29–31
Ponder This
We often measure growth by movement, but do we see strength as growth?
When you endure without quitting, that is growth. When you respond wisely instead of reacting, that is growth. When you carry weight you once could not carry, that is growth.
Waiting builds strength. Trials build endurance. Resistance builds capacity. You may not feel like you are advancing, but if you are stronger than you were last season, you are growing.
Growth is not always visible, sometimes it is internal reinforcement. Roots deepen before branches expand. Strength is not hardness. It is stability. It is the ability to remain anchored when pressure increases. If your capacity has increased, so has your growth.
Prayer
Our Father, thank You for growing me through strength. When I cannot see visible progress, thank You for helping me recognize internal increase. Thank You for building endurance, stability, and depth in me. As You are strengthening me, I desire and choose not to despise the process. Make me rooted. Make me steady. Make me mature. Strengthen me, and I will acknowledge that You are doing a wonderful work in me. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
