We Are The Gates

We Are The Gates

Scripture

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”

— Psalm 24:7-8 (KJV)

Ponder This

The psalmist paints a prophetic picture: ancient gates and everlasting doors are called to lift their heads so that the King of Glory may enter. This isn’t just architectural imagery, it’s spiritual language. In Christ, we become those “gates” and “doors.” Through our lives, faith, and obedience, we are the entry points through which the presence of Our Father is revealed and released into the world.

Jesus declared, “I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (John 10:9). When we are united with Him, His identity as the Door becomes reflected in us. We become living gates, positioned strategically in families, churches, schools, and communities - places where Heaven’s glory is meant to break through. Our attitudes, words, and faith either open wide or shut tight the way for His presence to flow.

Being a gate carries both privilege and responsibility. A gate must be strong, stable, and responsive. If rusty or stuck, it hinders movement; if unlocked and willing, it becomes a channel for what’s meant to pass through. Our Father positions His people as gates to bring His Kingdom into spaces where darkness once ruled. That means your worship, prayers, hospitality, advocacy, and daily faith can be the very “hinges” upon which revival swings open.

Prayer

Amazing Father, thank You for calling me to be a gate for Your glory. Strengthen me to remain lifted, open, and aligned with You. I choose to be a doorway where Your love, truth, and power flow freely. I ask for wisdom. Make me aware of the spaces where You’ve positioned me. I choose to exercise great faith and boldness. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Declaration

I am a gate for the King of Glory. Through me, His presence enters homes, communities, and nations. I stay lifted, watchful, and open, for the Lord is mighty in me.
