When Self Dies...Christ Can Be Revealed

When Self Dies...Christ Can Be Revealed

Scripture

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

— Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

Ponder This

Dying to self is not about becoming less human, it’s about allowing Christ to rule as Lord.

Self says:

• I deserve

• I feel

• I want

• I know best

Our Father says:

• Trust Me

• Yield here

• Release that

• Follow Me

To die to self is to step off the throne and let Jesus sit there - fully, finally, and freely; consistently.

Death to self is quiet obedience. It is choosing obedience when no one is watching, nor applauds. It is releasing the need to be right, seen, validated, or in control.

When self dies:

• peace replaces striving

• obedience replaces opinion

• fruit replaces effort

This is not loss. This is alignment.

Prayer

Our Father, I lay down my will, my way, and my need to control. I desire and choose to take up my cross daily, not out of duty, but out of love. I choose to decrease so Christ may fully live through me. Thank You for helping me and teaching me to die daily, so that I can bring You glory, honor, and joy, while I live more than abundantly in You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
