Who Has Your Worship?
Scripture
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”
— Mark 12:30 (KJV)
Ponder This
Worship is revealed by what has our affection, attention, dependence, obedience, and pursuit. Whatever we constantly chase, fear losing, prioritize above obedience, or allow to rule our decisions can quietly become an idol in our hearts.
Sometimes worship is obvious. Sometimes it hides behind success, relationships, money, image, ambition, comfort, approval, or even ministry itself.
Our Father is not asking for part of us. He desires wholehearted devotion.
The question is not: “Do I attend church?” The question is: “Who truly has my heart?”
Anything we place above Our Father will eventually demand more from us than it can ever give back. But when Our Father has our worship, He brings alignment, peace, clarity, conviction, and more than abundant life. True worship flows from love, surrender, reverence, and relationship...not just a routine.
Worship is not simply what we sing. Worship is who we bow/surrender to with our lives.
Reflection
What consumes most of my thoughts?
Who or what do I run to first?
What has become too difficult for me to surrender?
Is my worship flowing from genuine love for Our Father?
Prayer
Our Father, search my heart and reveal anything that has taken Your place within me. Remove every idol, distraction, unhealthy attachment, and divided loyalty. Thank You for teaching me to worship You in spirit and in truth. I choose to let my life reflect wholehearted devotion and surrender to You. I desire and make a choice for You to have first place in every area of my life. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
