Abundant Faith...Abundant Life!
Scripture:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10 (NIV)
The enemy’s greatest weapon is deception. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy our faith, our purpose, and our identity. But Jesus came with a greater mission: to give us life and life more abundantly, not just in eternity, but here and now. This abundant life is filled with peace, joy, and faith that overcomes every scheme of the enemy.
Remember This:
Each of these truths is backed by the Word of God. Stand firm in them!
• Jesus died for our sins.
“…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.” – 1 Corinthians 15:3
• Jesus took our sins upon Himself.
“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24
• Jesus rose from the grave.
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.” – Matthew 28:6
“But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him.” – Acts 2:24
• Jesus conquered sin, death, and the grave.
“But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” – 1 Corinthians 15:20
“I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” – Revelation 1:18
• Jesus rose with all power.
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.’” – Matthew 28:18
• Jesus gave us the keys to the Kingdom.
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 16:19
• Jesus prays for us.
“I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.” – John 17:9
“…He always lives to intercede for them.” – Hebrews 7:25
• Jesus stands for us.
“But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. ‘Look,’ he said, ‘I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.’” – Acts 7:55-56
Jesus not only sits at the right hand of God, interceding for us, but when Stephen was being persecuted, Jesus stood, showing His love, approval, and readiness to receive His faithful servant. This is a reminder that Jesus is always with us, standing for us, even in the midst of trials.
Reflection:
• What areas of my life do I need to walk in abundant faith?
• What lies from the enemy have I believed that contradict the abundant life Jesus has given me?
• How does knowing Jesus stands for me change the way I face opposition?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I thank You that You came to give me abundant life. I reject every lie of the enemy that tries to steal my faith. Thank You for dying for my sins, bearing them on the cross, and rising from the grave in victory. Thank You for interceding and even standing for me. I receive the keys to the Kingdom and walk in the authority You have given me. I choose to strengthen my faith daily, as You remind me that You are always with me. In Your name, Amen.
Declaration:
I have abundant faith. I have abundant life. Jesus intercedes for me and stands for me. I will not allow the enemy to steal what Jesus has freely given me!
