Activate the Gifts Within You!

Scripture: “Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.” – 1 Timothy 4:14 (ESV)

God has already placed within you the gifts needed for this moment. Yesterday, we reflected on how you are God’s workmanship, created for good works.

Today, let’s take it further: your gifts are not just given—they must be activated. The apostle Paul urged Timothy not to neglect the gifts within him, and the same message applies to you. Whatever God has placed in you is needed now, not later.

It’s easy to let gifts lie dormant, buried under fear, doubt, or comparison. But your gift is a divine deposit, meant to bring life to others and glory to God. It’s not something to set aside until the timing feels perfect. Instead, it’s time to stir up those gifts and step into what God has already prepared.

God is not waiting for you to be flawless—He’s inviting you to walk in faith. Whether it's writing that book, mentoring someone, launching that ministry, or making that call, don’t hesitate. When you activate your gifts, you position yourself for God’s power to flow through you.

Prayer:

“Lord, I thank You for the gifts You’ve entrusted to me. Help me to walk boldly, stirring up what You’ve placed within me. Let my gifts be used to bless others and reflect Your glory. May I never neglect or overlook what You’ve given, knowing that it’s for such a time as this. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Challenge:

Identify one gift or talent you’ve been neglecting and take a concrete step to activate it today. Whether through writing, speaking, serving, or creating—start now. Your obedience will open doors, bless others, and glorify God.
