Ignite Your Awe
When was the last time you were truly in awe of something? Not just impressed or pleased, but struck with wonder so deep it took your breath away? The truth is, our lives are surrounded by the extraordinary works of an extraordinary God—and yet, too often, we rush past His wonders, numbed by routine and distracted by noise. Today is the day to pause, open your eyes, and awaken to the magnificent works of our God.
Ignite your awe in the midst of adversity! The adversity will expose the wonders of God at work - when you engage with Holy Spirit to guide you spiritually and practically; strategically!!!
The Wonders of God
1. God’s Wonders in Power
When God moves, He doesn’t do small. He split the Red Sea in two, turned water into wine, and raised the dead. His power is unmatched! As Exodus 15:11 declares:
“Who is like You, Lord? Majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders.”
Think about this: the same God who parted seas is the One who holds your life in His hands. His wonders aren’t just ancient history—they are living, breathing realities meant to inspire faith and confidence today.
2. God’s Wonders in Creation
Look up. The sky is His canvas, the stars His handiwork, and the oceans His playground. Every sunrise and every galaxy speaks to His infinite creativity. Psalm 66:5 invites us:
“Come and see what God has done, His awesome deeds for mankind!”
Creation is shouting the glory of God! When was the last time you stepped outside and let the beauty of the world fill your soul with wonder?
3. God’s Wonders in Your Life
“Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced.” (1 Chronicles 16:12)
Take a moment to reflect. How many “impossible” situations has God already worked out for you? How many prayers has He answered? Every breath you take is a miracle. Every heartbeat is evidence of His sustaining power. He’s not just the God of wonders in the Bible—He’s the God of wonders in your life.
How to Experience the Wonders of God
1. Look Up—Expect Him to Move
The wonders of God are often missed because we stop expecting them. Psalm 111:2 tells us:
“Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.”
Take time today to ponder. Expect to see His hand in your life. Pray boldly for miracles, knowing He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
2. Live in Gratitude
Gratitude opens your eyes to God’s wonders. Psalm 107:8 encourages:
“Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind.”
Start thanking Him—not just for the big things but for the little ones, too. You’ll find your heart flooded with joy as you recognize His daily wonders.
3. Speak His Wonders
God’s wonders are not meant to be kept secret. Psalm 145:4-5 challenges us:
“One generation commends Your works to another; they tell of Your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of Your majesty—and I will meditate on Your wonderful works.”
Share what God has done for you. Declare His goodness so others may see His glory and be inspired to seek Him.
Takeaway
The wonders of God are not just far-off miracles or cosmic events—they are deeply personal and incredibly present. If you want to be filled with wonder, you must look for it. Your God is not small; His works are not ordinary. He is the God of awe, the God of power, the God who makes the impossible possible. Stop living in the mundane and start living in expectation! Your life is a stage for His wonders.
Prayer of Wonder
Lord, You are my God, the author of wonders beyond my understanding. Open my eyes to see Your power at work in my life. Awaken my heart to the beauty of Your creation, the miracles in Your Word, and the wonders You are still performing today. I don’t want to live blind to Your glory. Fill me with awe and faith, and let my life be a testimony to the greatness of who You are. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Challenge for Today:
Step outside, look around, and marvel at God’s handiwork. Then, take five minutes to thank Him for three wonders you’ve experienced in your life. Share one with someone to spread the awe of God!
Declaration:
God is the worker of wonders—past, present, and future. I will walk in awe, expect His greatness, and proclaim His wonders to the world!
