Be About the Business of Producing

Scripture Reference: James 1:22 (NIV)

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

In our walk with God, it is easy to talk about faith, love, and service. But God’s kingdom is not built by words alone; it requires action. James 2:26 reminds us that faith without works is dead. The Apostle Paul also calls us to “labor in love” (1 Thessalonians 1:3), signifying that our love for God and others should motivate us to actively serve, uplift, and build.

Jesus himself demonstrated this through His ministry. He didn’t just preach; He healed, fed the hungry, and sacrificed Himself for us. As disciples, we are called to follow His example, producing good fruit (John 15:16). This means moving beyond discussing what should be done and actually doing it.

Building God’s Kingdom requires a love that acts, a faith that serves, and a heart that is about the Father’s business (Luke 2:49). It’s time to move beyond talking and step into the labor that brings His will to earth.

Reflection Question:

In what ways can you stop talking and start acting on the call to build God’s Kingdom today?

Prayer:

Lord, give me the strength and courage to move beyond words and be a worker in Your vineyard. Help me to produce a labor of love that brings glory to Your name. Amen.
