“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”
— Romans 12:18 (KJV)
Ponder This:
In a world that often chooses separation over communication, it’s easy to believe that walking away is strength. But spiritual maturity teaches us that true strength is found in humility, patience, and a heart willing to reconcile.
God never created us for isolation. He formed us for connection. Healthy relationships thrive on two-way communication, where both people are willing to listen, reason together, and work toward mutual peace. That’s not weakness, that’s Kingdom.
Yes, there are times when the other person isn’t ready. Times when conversations fall flat. In those moments, don’t slam the door shut - leave it open in prayer. Ask God to prepare hearts, soften attitudes, and align both sides for healing at the right time.
Peace doesn’t always come instantly, but your willingness to seek it is obedience. And obedience always pleases the Lord.
Activation:
1. Reflect: Is there someone you’ve mentally “sent off” or "shut off" instead of seeking understanding?
2. Reach Out: If you are led by Holy Spirit, invite a conversation with grace and clarity.
3. Pray: If reconciliation isn’t possible right now, ask God to prepare both hearts for peace in His time.
4. Release: Hold space without holding grudges. Trust God to work behind the scenes.
Prayer:
Lord God, I surrender every broken connection to You. Help me to walk in humility and wisdom. Where reconciliation is possible, give me grace to pursue it. Where it’s not, prepare both hearts for a future healing. I choose not to operate in bitterness and pride. Thank You for teaching me how to live peaceably as it concerns my choices. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
