Choose To Be Pure
Scripture: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
– Matthew 5:8 (KJV).
Ponder This:
Purity of heart isn’t about being flawless, it’s about being undivided. A pure heart is a heart fully given to God, free from the clutter of hidden motives, bitterness, or double-mindedness. It’s the inner well from which all words, actions, and attitudes flow (Proverbs 4:23).
The enemy loves to pollute our hearts - just a little unforgiveness here, a sprinkle of pride there, and before we know it, our spiritual vision gets cloudy. But Jesus promises that those who keep their hearts pure will see God. That means clarity in direction, intimacy in relationship, and the ability to recognize His hand at work.
A pure heart doesn’t come by trying harder, it comes by staying yielded. When the Holy Spirit points out what doesn’t belong, we don’t argue; we let Him cleanse it. The more He washes, the more clearly we see.
Prayer:
Lord, search my heart today. Remove anything that dulls my vision of You - every hidden motive, every unclean thought, every root of bitterness. Keep my heart single in devotion, pure in motive, and open to Your leading. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Declaration:
I guard my heart because it is the wellspring of my life. My devotion is undivided, my motives are clean, and my eyes are fixed on God.
Activation:
• Spend 5 minutes today in quiet prayer asking, “Lord, is there anything clouding my heart?”
• Write down what comes to mind, repent, and release it to Him.
