Do You See What I See?

Do You See What I See?

Scripture:

“And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

- 2 Kings 6:17 (NIV)

Reflection:

There are moments in life when fear, doubt, and circumstances cloud our vision. We see lack, struggle, and impossibility, but God sees abundance, victory, and divine provision. Like Elisha’s servant, we often focus on what’s in front of us rather than what’s above and beyond us.

When the enemy surrounded them, Elisha’s servant panicked. All he saw was a hopeless situation. But Elisha, with spiritual eyes, saw what God saw - angelic armies already in place, surrounding them with protection and power.

How often do we allow fear to dictate our perspective? How often do we only see problems instead of promises? The Lord is asking today, “Do you see what I see?”

Application:

1. Shift Your Perspective – Ask God to open your eyes to see beyond the natural. What looks like a setback may actually be a setup for His glory!

2. Declare God’s Vision Over Your Life – Speak faith, not fear. His Word is full of victory, provision, and power.

3. Pray for Spiritual Clarity – Just like Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened, pray:

“Lord, help me see my situation through Your eyes. Let me see beyond fear, beyond struggle, and into Your divine provision.”

Prayer:

Father God, open my eyes to see what You see. When fear surrounds me, remind me that Your presence is greater. Shift my vision from the problem to the promise, from the battle to the victory. I choose to walk continuously by faith and not by sight. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Final Thought:

Today, ask yourself: Am I looking at my life through my own eyes or through God’s? When you see through His eyes, you won’t just see obstacles—you’ll see opportunities for His glory.

Do you see what He sees?
