Don’t Believe Your Flesh!

Scripture

Romans 8:8 (KJV)

“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Galatians 5:16 (KJV)

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

Ponder This

Our flesh will always experience feelings. Our flesh will attempt to justify our attitudes, excuse our behaviors, and convince us to follow our feelings rather than Our Father’s Word.

We must learn to acknowledge and process our feelings without allowing them to control us. We can choose to crucify the fleshly desires and limitations attached to those feelings, cast our cares upon Our Father, and exercise our faith to walk in obedience and peace.

Our feelings may be real, but they do not have to lead us. Holy Spirit does!

Reflection

Are my feelings leading me, or is Holy Spirit?

Prayer 

Our Father, thank You for helping me recognize how my feelings impact my walk of faith. Strengthen me to surrender my flesh and walk in obedience and peace. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
