Expect the Wind of God

Expect the Wind of God

Scripture Reading: Acts 2:1-13

Scripture Focus: Acts 2:2

“Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.”

The Wind of God represents His Spirit moving powerfully and unexpectedly. In Ezekiel’s valley of dry bones, the wind brought life to the lifeless (Ezekiel 37:9). On the day of Pentecost, the wind signaled the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, bringing transformation, empowerment, and boldness to the disciples.

The Wind of God is never stagnant—it moves with purpose, reviving what is dead, energizing what is weary, and carrying His plans into motion. Expect the wind to show up in your life—not as a gentle breeze of comfort alone, but sometimes as a mighty force to realign, awaken, and propel you forward.

Reflection

Are you in a place where things feel dry or stagnant? The Wind of God is coming to breathe new life into your situation. But expecting His wind requires faith—faith that God’s Spirit will move, even when you don’t know how or when.

Prayer

Father God, I expect Your wind to move in my life today. Blow away the dust of doubt, revive the dry areas of my soul, and set my spirit on fire with Your presence. Let Your wind bring life, strength, and direction, and help me to walk boldly in Your power. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Takeaway: The Wind of God is not just an event—it’s a reminder that His Spirit is alive and active. Expect it. Invite it. Let it carry you into His purpose.
