Father, I Stretch My Hands
Scriptures
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”
— Psalm 121:1–2 (KJV)
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
— Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)
Ponder This
When we say, “Father, I stretch my hands,” we are acknowledging both our weakness and His strength. Stretched hands are a posture of surrender, worship, and expectation. They declare:
• I cannot, but You can.
• I release, so You may take control.
• I am empty, but You are full.
Stretching our hands toward our Father is more than a gesture - it is a supernatural connection point. In that stretch, Heaven touches earth, weakness meets power, and despair is exchanged for hope. Just as a child reaches for a parent in trust, we reach for our Father, knowing His arms are strong enough to hold us.
Every stretch of our hands is a shift: from worry to worship, from fear to faith, from striving to surrender.
Prayer
Father, today I stretch my hands to You. I release my struggles, my uncertainties, and my burdens. I desire and choose to lean into You to embrace grace. Thank You for meeting me in this stretch with Your power, peace, and presence. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Declaration
I stretch my hands to my Father, the source of my help. I live in His strength, I rest in His care, and I walk in His power. My hands lifted declare that I am not my own - I belong to Him.
Activation
• Take a quiet moment today and literally stretch your hands toward Heaven.
• As you do, speak aloud what you are surrendering into our Father’s hands.
• Stay still for a moment, take in the exchange with a deep breath, then thank Him for exchanging your weakness for His strength.
