Flip the Script

Flip the Script
Scripture: Psalm 73:17, KJV
(*Please read the entire chapter for a better understanding)
“Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.”
Ponder This
World Changers, Asaph helped lead worship, yet he struggled when people doing wrong seemed to prosper while he suffered. He wondered whether living faithfully had been worth it.
We can wrestle with those thoughts, too.
In the sanctuary, Asaph gained perspective. Their prosperity was temporary, and Our Father had been sustaining him through the struggle. He recognized the good in drawing near to Our Father.
We flip the script when we bring our thoughts before Our Father and allow His truth to reshape our understanding. Before we let frustration have its way, let’s express how we truly feel with Our Father, casting our cares upon Him and seeking His understanding. As we surrender, we can find renewed hope and strength...even while we are still working through the matter.
Reflection
What thought do I need to bring before Our Father?
Prayer
Our Father, thank You for sustaining me. Renew my perspective. Thank You for giving me an understanding that will help me grow in appreciation of You, as well as in my faith and obedience unto You. I choose to redirect my thoughts and embrace Your truth. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
