Glory Rivers Flow!
Scripture Reading - Ezekiel 47:1–12 TPT
“Then he brought me back to the entryway of the temple, and there I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the temple. The stream flowed from the right side of the temple, south of the altar. He then took me out through the north gate and led me around outside to the outer gate that faces east. And there I saw water trickling from the south side of the gate. The man walked eastward with a measuring line in his hand. He measured off 1,750 feet and then led me across the water. The water was ankle-deep. He measured off another 1,750 feet and led me across again. This time the water was knee-deep. Another 1,750 feet, and it was waist-deep. He measured another 1,750 feet, and it was now a river too deep to cross except by swimming—it was so deep and too swift to be crossed on foot.
He then asked me, ‘Have you been watching, son of man?’ He took me back along the riverbank, and as I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river. Then he said to me, ‘This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. Wherever the river flows, there will be many fish and animals, for the water brings life wherever it goes. The waters of the Dead Sea will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river flows.’
‘Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea, from En-gedi all the way to En-eglaim. The shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean. But the swamps and marshes will not be purified; they will still be salty. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown or fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.’”
Ponder This
The glory of Our Father is like this river - flowing, rising, and transforming everything in its path. At ankle depth, you still have control. At knee depth, the current pushes against you. At waist depth, you begin to feel the pull. But when the river swells into waters you must swim in, the Spirit carries you beyond your own ability.
Wherever the river flows, life springs forth. Dead seas are healed. Barren lands produce fruit. And because we are now the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19), this river of glory is swelling inside of us, ready to overflow into our families, communities, and nations.
Prayer
Father, I choose to let Your glory swell up through and out of me. I expect it. Take me deeper than ankle-deep comfort. Carry me beyond my control into waters where only Your Spirit sustains me. I desire to choose for Your river to flow through me, healing dead places and producing fruit within me that transforms my life, and positions me to teach and heal others in Your name. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Declaration
The rivers of God’s glory are swelling in me. Wherever His glory flows, life springs up, healing is released, and fruitfulness never ends. I am carried by His current and sustained by His Spirit.
