Father God, Feed Them Through Me

Father God, Feed Them Through Me

Scripture Focus:

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” – Matthew 22:37-39

Reflection:

Throughout Scripture, food is often central to relationships. Jesus shared meals with His disciples, broke bread with sinners, and even used a meal—the Last Supper—to demonstrate His deep love for us. Sharing food creates connection, fosters conversation, and reflects God’s provision.

When we love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, even a simple meal becomes an act of worship and gratitude. And when we love our neighbors as ourselves, we can use the table as a place of kindness and welcome. Inviting someone to share a meal is a simple way to build relationships and show the love of Christ.

As we focus on God’s greatest commandments, let’s also remember the beauty of gathering, breaking bread, and creating spaces where God’s love can flow.

Application:

1. Make time to sit at the table with God in prayer, feeding your soul with His Word.

2. Share a meal with someone this week, using it as an opportunity to deepen your relationship and reflect God’s love.

3. Consider how food can be a bridge to reconciliation, celebration, or encouragement in your relationships.

Prayer:

Father God, thank You for the gift of food and the relationships that are strengthened through it. Help me to love You with all my heart, soul, and mind, and teach me to love others through simple acts like sharing a meal. Let every table I sit at become a place of connection and reflection of Your love. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Let’s love God and others—one meal, one conversation, one relationship at a time!
