Reflection

When we love others, we love God. Each person we encounter carries the fingerprint of God, being created in His image. This truth reminds us that loving others is an extension of our love for Jesus. Seeing others as “God substance” means recognizing His presence within them—the divine spark that reflects His nature, creativity, and love.

Jesus Himself taught that what we do for others, we do for Him. When we serve, encourage, or forgive someone, we honor Him. Even the difficult people in our lives are opportunities to love Jesus through our actions. When we see others through His lens, it shifts our perspective. Suddenly, kindness is worship, forgiveness is obedience, and service is an act of love toward Him.

Loving others as God’s creation calls us to rise above offenses, biases, and pride. It challenges us to embrace humility and treat every interaction as sacred. This kind of love not only deepens our relationship with Jesus but also draws others closer to Him through us.

Application

1. Shift Your Perspective: Reflect on someone you struggle to love. Ask God to help you see them through His eyes—as someone deeply loved and created in His image.

2. Love Intentionally: Look for practical ways to love others this week as an act of worship—whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a prayer.

3. Reflect on Relationships: How can you better embody God’s love in your family, workplace, or church? Be intentional in showing others they are valued as God’s creation.

Prayer

Father God, open my eyes to see Your presence in every person I meet. Teach me to love others as You love them, knowing that when I love on them, I am loving You. Help me to look beyond flaws, disagreements, or offenses, and see the divine image You’ve placed within each person.

Fill my heart with humility and grace so I can honor You through my relationships. Transform my interactions into acts of worship, and let my life reflect Your love. May others see Your light in me and be drawn closer to You.

Thank You for creating us in Your image and for giving us the privilege to love You by loving others. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
