Our Father Watches Over Us

Our Father Watches Over Us

Scripture Reading: Psalm 121 (KJV)

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Thought:

There are times when we grow weary. There are times when our strength feels low, our path seems unclear, or we just need to be reminded: Our Father in Heaven is still watching over us.

Psalm 121 is a powerful reminder that our most immeasureable help doesn’t come from people or position. It comes from Our Heavenly Father, the One who made made all things, and that means we can trust Him fully. He does not slumber or sleep. He doesn’t miss a moment of our lives. He guards our steps and surrounds our days with His presence.

As His people, we can rest in the truth that He is our Keeper. Whether we’re stepping into a new season or walking through a familiar challenge, He goes before us, walks with us, and covers us. There is not a moment in our lives when we are left unprotected.

Even when we don’t feel strong, even when we don’t understand what’s ahead, we can be confident: God is preserving us. He is holding us together in ways we cannot see.

Prayer:

Our Father in Heaven, we lift our eyes to You today. You are our Keeper, our constant Help. Thank You for watching over us. Not just in the big moments, but in every detail of our lives. Thank You for preserving our coming and our going. Thank You for helping us to rest in the assurance that we are never outside of Your care. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
