Peace Can’t Reign Where Jesus Isn’t Lord
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”
— Colossians 3:15 (KJV)
Ponder This:
You can’t walk in peace if Jesus doesn’t reign in the place you’re trying to control.
Peace isn’t a feeling we chase, it’s a fruit of surrender. The kind of peace God offers flows wherever His Lordship is honored. If Jesus isn’t Lord over your thoughts, your schedule, your relationships, your finances, or your future, then don’t be surprised when peace goes missing in those areas.
Peace comes with His presence. But His presence comes where He’s welcomed.
Sometimes we ask God for peace but won’t relinquish control. We pray for calm but hold on to chaos. The truth? Peace and pride can’t coexist. One must bow.
You can’t cry out for peace while crowning worry as ruler. You can’t expect rest while stress is still your master. You can’t demand joy while clinging to condemnation.
Where Jesus is not Lord, peace will not abide.
Today’s Activation:
Let go of the false sense of control. Bow. Release the burden. Invite Jesus to be Lord over everything, not just the convenient things.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I don’t just want You to be my Savior, I choose you as Lord. Rule over every corner of my life - my mind, my emotions, my decisions. I give up the desire and need to worry. I submit to Your perfect peace. Reign, Lord Jesus, Reign! Be exalted in me and through me. In Your name I pray, Amen.
