Pray for the Blind to See

Pray for the Blind to See

Scripture:

“Open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me."

—Acts 26:18 (ESV)

Devotion:

It’s natural to pray for our family to be saved, healed, and set free, but the heart of God beats for the whole world. There are blind souls all around us, trapped in cycles, lost in lies, unaware of the freedom available in Christ. If we only pray for those closest to us, we’re missing the full reach of intercession.

When Jesus walked the earth, He didn’t just open the eyes of the blind physically, He opened hearts to truth. That same power lives in us. Our prayers can break spiritual blindness off of strangers, influencers, neighbors, and even those who oppose us.

So pray boldly. Call out to Heaven for eyes to be opened, not just for our households, but for every person God lays on our hearts. Let our love be wide, and our prayers even wider.

Prayer:

Lord, forgive us for limiting our prayers to our own circle. Stir compassion in us for the blind who don’t even know they’re lost. Let Your light shine through us, and use our prayers to reach into dark places. Open their eyes, Lord, not just our family’s, but the world’s. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
