Stay Ready, Stay Encouraged

Thought:

Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5 that Jesus will return unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. While the world may be caught off guard, believers are called to stay spiritually awake and prepared. But how do we do this?

Paul gives us the answer: Live in faith, love, and hope. Encourage one another. Rejoice always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all things. Hold on to what is good. Trust in God’s faithfulness.

Our walk with Christ is not just about waiting, it’s about living with purpose, strengthening others, and staying spiritually alert. Encouragement is a powerful tool. A simple word of faith can uplift the weary, rekindle hope, and remind someone of God’s promises.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to live in readiness for Your return, not in fear, but in faith. Teach me to encourage and build others up with my words and actions. Let my heart be full of joy, prayer, and gratitude as I trust in Your faithfulness. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
