Strength in Preparation

Strength in Preparation

Scripture:

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." – Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

Reflection:

Fasting is not just about denying yourself food or distractions; it is about making room for God to equip you for what’s ahead. Throughout Scripture, fasting has been a key component of divine preparation:

  • Jesus fasted before stepping into His ministry (Matthew 4:2).

  • Esther fasted before interceding for her people (Esther 4:16).

  • Jesus reminded His disciples that some breakthroughs only come through prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).

Yesterday’s devotion laid a foundation. Today, you are stepping deeper into divine preparation. Just as an eagle soars by catching the wind rather than exhausting itself by flapping, fasting allows you to rely on God’s power instead of your own. In this process, you are being strengthened, sharpened, and positioned for what is next.

This is not about deprivation but about divine empowerment. Your spirit is being conditioned to endure, to discern, and to walk in greater authority. Many remain in bondage because altars (mountains) of darkness have not been confronted. But we, the Ecclesia, have been given authority in Christ Jesus to legislate Kingdom liberty in the earth.

Now is the time to rise in strength, stand in authority, and speak to these mountains.

Activation:

  1. Refocus Your Mind – Fasting is not just a sacrifice; it is a strategy for spiritual strength and readiness.

  2. Declare Strength Over Your Life – Speak Isaiah 40:31 over yourself:

“I will run and not grow weary, walk and not faint, for my strength is in the Lord.”

  3. Expect Greater Preparation – Ask God to reveal how this fast is equipping you for the next level in your assignment.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that fasting is a requirement for greater preparation. Strengthen me as I wait on You and align me with Your perfect will. As I deny my flesh, fill me with spiritual wisdom, endurance, and clarity. I trust that You are preparing me for something greater, and I receive Your strength for the journey ahead. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Final Charge:

Stay focused. Stay aligned. This season of preparation is producing power, the power to speak to the altars (mountains) of darkness that we, the Ecclesia, have tolerated for far too long. Now is the time to speak to the mountain and command it to be removed. For Christ Jesus is the Conquering King, and we are His Ambassadors, called to legislate His Kingdom in the earth.
