Think on Him
Scripture
“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.”
— Malachi 3:16 (KJV)
Ponder This
What captures your thoughts throughout the day?
Malachi reveals something powerful about those who pleased the Lord. They feared Him, spoke often of Him, and thought upon His name. Their hearts were occupied with Our Father. Their conversations reflected Him. Their minds continually returned to Him.
Notice what happened next: The Lord listened. The Lord heard. The Lord remembered.
In a world filled with distractions, worries, opinions, and endless noise, Our Father sees the hearts that remain fixed on Him.
What we think about shapes what we desire. What we desire influences how we live. When our minds dwell on His goodness, faithfulness, and promises, our affection for Him grows deeper.
Many want a greater encounter with Our Father while giving Him little room in their thoughts. Yet those who continually turn their hearts toward Him discover that His presence becomes more real, His voice more recognizable, and His peace more sustaining.
Reflection
What occupies my thoughts most often? Does it draw me closer to Our Father or pull me away from Him?
Prayer
Our Father, draw our thoughts back to You throughout the day. Thank You for helping me to speak of Your goodness, meditate on Your truth, and keep my heart fixed on Christ. I choose for my mind to be filled with what honors You and my life to reflect a deep love for Your presence. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
