What is Holy Spirit Revealing to You?

Scripture:

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.” — John 16:13 (NIV)

Reflection:

Holy Spirit is not just a force or an idea, He is the living, active presence of God in our lives. He speaks, guides, convicts, and reveals truth to us. Yet, in the busyness of life, we find ourselves not pausing to ask, What is Holy Spirit revealing to me today?

God does not speak to us for the sake of speaking, His revelation is purposeful. Holy Spirit brings encouragement when we are weary, conviction when we are straying, and direction when we are uncertain. His voice is always aligned with God’s Word and leads us closer to Christ.

We must cultivate a heart that listens. This means quieting distractions, seeking Him in prayer, and being sensitive to His leading. What is He showing you in this season? Are there areas where He is calling you to deeper obedience, faith, or trust?

How to Hear Holy Spirit’s Revelation:

1. Be Still and Listen

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

• Spend intentional time in silence, inviting Holy Spirit to speak.

2. Align with the Word

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

• Holy Spirit never contradicts Scripture. What is He revealing to you as you read the Word?

3. Pay Attention to Convictions and Promptings

“And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” — John 16:8 (ESV)

• Holy Spirit often nudges us to repent, take action, or encourage someone. Obey His promptings.

4. Ask for Revelation

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” — Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

• Ask God to open your spiritual eyes and ears to what He is revealing.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I invite You to reveal what I need to know today. Open my heart to hear Your voice clearly. Convict me where I need correction, guide me where I need direction, and fill me with wisdom. Help me to be sensitive to Your leading and obedient to Your voice. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Challenge:

Take time every day to sit quietly before God. Ask Holy Spirit, “What are You revealing to me?” Write down any impressions, scriptures, or thoughts that come to mind. Then, take action on what He shows you.
