Wonder Is on the Rise

Wonder Is on the Rise

Scripture Focus

“Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.” – Isaiah 40:26 (NIV)

Reflection

Have you ever stood under a night sky and felt a deep sense of awe? The stars, countless and magnificent, speak of a Creator who not only formed them but knows each one by name. This same God, whose power holds the universe together, invites us to pause and see His glory in the world around us.

In the busyness of life, wonder can fade. We stop noticing the extraordinary beauty of creation or the intricate ways God is working in our lives. Yet Isaiah calls us to lift our eyes—to shift our focus from the mundane to the majestic and remember that everything we see reflects God’s greatness.

When we choose to rediscover wonder, it transforms us. It reminds us of God’s infinite power and His intimate care for every detail of our lives. Wonder is an invitation to trust Him more deeply, to worship Him more fully, and to live with hearts wide open to His presence.

Application

1. Look Up: Take a moment today to observe the sky—whether it’s a sunrise, a sunset, or the stars at night. Reflect on the power and creativity of the God who made it all.

2. Notice God’s Handiwork: Consider one way God is revealing Himself in your daily life—through His provision, creation, or a relationship.

3. Be a Source of Wonder: Share with someone how you’ve experienced God’s power and beauty. Your testimony can inspire awe in others.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for the beauty and wonder that surround us every day. Open our eyes to see Your hand in creation and in our lives. Help us to pause, to notice, and to worship You with hearts full of awe. Let the wonder of who You are transform how we see the world, and let it rise in us so we can share it with others. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Closing Thought

God’s wonder is always present—it’s in the heavens, the earth, and even in you. Let your heart be awakened to His glory today. Lift your eyes, let wonder rise, and let it deepen your connection to the Creator of all things.
