Wonder-Working Power in Prayer

Wonder-Working Power in Prayer

Scripture:

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

“Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God… Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken.”

Acts 16:25–26 (NIV)

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Psalm 32:7 (NIV)

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)

“After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: ‘Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.’ As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men… and they were defeated.”

2 Chronicles 20:21–22 (NIV)

Ponder This:

Prayer is not just a routine - it’s the release of Heaven’s authority into earthly situations. Every time you pray, Papa is already going before you (Deuteronomy 31:8), making a way where there seems to be none.

When we add praise to our prayers, atmospheres shift! Praise announces to every power of darkness that Papa God has already won. Paul and Silas prayed and praised (Acts 16:25–26), and Papa shook the prison doors open. Jehoshaphat sent singers ahead of the army (2 Chronicles 20:21–22), and Papa set ambushes against their enemies before they even drew a sword.

Prayer aligns our hearts with Papa. Praise lifts our eyes from the problem to the Promise-Keeper. Together, they unlock the wonder-working power of Papa God, who moves in ways we could never orchestrate.

Prayer

Papa, I thank You that there is wonder-working power in prayer and praise. You go before me, fight my battles, and surround me with songs of deliverance (Psalm 32:7). I choose to pray with faith, praise with expectation, and watch You move in mighty ways. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Declaration

I will pray, I will praise, and I will watch Papa move - because my Papa goes before me, and His power never fails.
